Swag Tag
(Don’t) stop the presses! Heard the news? Right now, SHOP@USC is making us some great gear.
We’re glad to tag SHOP@USCin appreciation for our swag. SHOP@USC (Showing How Opportunity Pays at USC) is a hands-on, student-run business in the Innovation Hub at Upper St. Clair High School. It’s this program’s students who produce our wonderful Woodland Hills merchandise.
Directed by longtime Woodland Hills member Michelle (Adler) Zirngibl, SHOP@USC teaches students with special needs how to develop a business plan, and design and manufacture products. Student volunteers—members of Finding Relationships In Every New Direction (FRIENDs)—assist in planning and production. Their work serves as both personal outreach and an opportunity for learning.
And Michelle has fond memories of Woodland Hills. “We lived there in the summer, growing up. We loved it! From tennis lessons to raft night.” In fact, it was Michelle’s dad who built our gatehouse’s addition in the late 1900s—with her brother, Ken, who’s now one of our Boardmembers!
Our Merchandise Chair, Board Vice President Ryan Griffin, has put together some awesome new designs and items for our shop—towels, stickers, t-shirts, and more! Have ideas? As always, we invite you to share them.
